Collections Import Export

Table of Contents

Main Dashboard

The app features a simple dashboard where you can perform all the export-import operations. You can export collections from one store to another with complete details like title, description, and also the assigned products.

Export Collections to CSV

You can find various options to export Shopify collections into CSV on the dashboard.

Here, you can:

  • Select & export automated collections

  • Select & export manual collections (with or without product)

  • Export all the automated or manual collections in a single CSV file

Export Automated Collections

In the Export Collections section, select all the automated collections you want to export and click the “Actions” button. Select “Export Automated Collections” from the drop-down.

Once the export process is completed, you’ll get a success message like the one shown below.

Important: Shopify automated collections contain specific conditions for assigning products. Meaning the products matching those conditions will be automatically added to the collection. This app exports the automated collections with their specific conditions.

You can download the generated collections CSV file from the Import/Export history section.

Export Manual Collections

To export the manual collections in the store, switch to the Manual tab in the Export Collections. Select the manual collections you want to export and click the “Actions” button.

Here, you can choose two options:

    • Export manual collections: The selected collections will be exported without product data. Meaning you’ll need to assign the products manually.

    • Export manual collections with products: The selected collections will be exported along with their assigned products’ data. Meaning the products will be assigned automatically to the collections.

Important: The manual collections export with products does not export the products as well. It only exports the SKU information to match and assign the products in the target store. Meaning you’ll need to import the products manually in the target store before you import this CSV to auto-assign them to collections.

Once the export process is completed, you’ll get a success message. You can download the generated collections CSV file from the Import/Export history section.
