Magento 2 YUP Payments

 

Magento 2 YUP Payments integrates Magento 2 with Africa's YUP payment gateway, a mobile money solution, to accept secure online payments.

  1. Extension Installation
  • Extract the zip folder and upload our extension to the root of your Magento 2 directory via FTP.
  • Login to your SSH and run below commands step by step:
    • php bin/magento setup:upgrade
    • For Magento version 2.0.x to 2.1.x - php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
    • For Magento version 2.2.x & above - php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy –f
    • php bin/magento cache:flush
  • That’s it.

 

  1. Configuration
    For configuring the extension, log in to Magento 2, move to Stores > Configuration > Sales > Payment Methods, find the YUP Payments to configure.
  • Enabled: Enable or disable YUP Payments extension from here.
  • Title: Enter title for the YUP Payments to show in frontend.
  • Show YUP Logo: Set YES to show YUP logo in the frontend.
  • Sandbox Mode: Set YES to enable sandbox mode for the payment gateway.
  • Merchant ID: Enter merchant ID provided by YUP payment gateway.
  • Gateway URL: Enter gateway URL provided by YUP payment gateway.
  • Payment from Applicable Countries: Select countries to allow using this payment method.
  • Additional Information: Add additional information to show along with the payment method in the frontend.  


  

Note: Prior to perform original transactions, make sure to get below URLs from the YUP payment gateway and contact your hosting provider to set all 3 of them.

Also, get your server’s public IP whitelisted prior using the YUP payments extension.

 

  1. YUP Payments in Frontend
    Once the extension is configured, it can be seen enabled in the frontend. Simply add products to cart and at checkout, you can see YUP payment method on the checkout page. Select the payment method and click to get redirected to the payment page and finish the payment.


  

 

  • YUP Payment Gateway Redirection
    Immediately after a customer clicks “Continue to Payment”, he gets redirected to the hosted payment page. Here, he has to enter the secret code and confirm it.


  

  • Payment Confirmation
    Once you add the secret code, you can see payment details to confirm and a button to click to get a verification code on your registered mobile number.


 

  • Authentication Code
    Once the customers get authentication code in the registered mobile number, they need to enter the code and click to verify and finish the payment.


  

  • Payment Success
    Immediately after the payment is successful, customers can see payment details. Customers can click the link to go back to the site.


  

  • YUP Payment Details in My Account
    Once the customers go back to the site after payment success, they can see YUP payment details in their My Account section.

    Apart from the My Account section, YUP payment details can be found in Sales > Orders > Order View section in the backend.
